Danny is the Student Pastor here at FBC O'Fallon. He has been on staff at FBCO since the Fall of 2002. The youngest of 4 crazy kids, Danny grew up in Orlando, FL in a rock solid Christian home with a loving Christian family. He was saved and baptized at the age of 10 in the church where he was born and raised. After getting married, he joined the Air Force and moved up to Illinois. After his four years in the Air Force, he worked as a network analyst for AT&T. While working for AT&T and serving as a Life Group teacher for the youth (Sunday school teacher for the old school folks out there), Danny knew that God was calling him full-time into the ministry. And that is Danny's life in a nutshell. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Christy, for over 25 years. They have two incredible adult kids, Hannah and Jonah. Danny has a passion for teaching God’s word, sharing the gospel and trying to make people laugh with his odd sense of humor. When he’s not at work you may find him running in the park, playing drums or riding his skateboard at the skatepark. Yeah, he’s a bit odd for an old dude, but we still love him! Danny is a graduate of McKendree University with a major in Religion with a Christian emphasis and a minor in history.
Obie joins the FBCO staff with a background in small group teaching, youth ministry, and government work. After serving four years in the Air Force at Scott AFB, Obie continued to work for the Air Force as a civilian contractor while attending Liberty Baptist theological seminary online. During that time, he also had the pleasure of teaching a LIFE Group at FBCO. Upon graduating with a Masters of Religious Education, Obie surrendered to the call of ministry and in 2013 he was ordained here, at FBCO.
From there, Obie left the government contracting world and he and his wife moved to Calvert City, Kentucky where Obie served as the Youth and Families Pastor. Obie now serves as the pastor to single adults and men here at FBCO. He is pursuing his Doctor of Religious Education through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is the author of the Christian fiction book, The Messengers and the Forgotten Choice. He also occasionally posts Bible lessons to his blog, ObadiahJDalrymple.com.
Obie and his wife have three children. They are thrilled to be back at FBCO!
