John repented and believed in Jesus for salvation when he was 12 years old. At age 15, he felt God's call to vocational ministry, eventually being led into student ministry. John married his high school sweetheart, Sarah, on May 29, 2004. On June 17, 2010, God blessed John and Sarah with their first child, a baby girl, Madilyn Faye, and on January 4, 2016 with a baby boy, Mason Lee. John was called to be our Pastor to Students on October 2010. In 2018, John transitioned into the role of Executive Pastor and Student Ministry Advisor at First Baptist O’Fallon. Prior to his call to FBCO, John served through student and associate ministry at his home church in Benton, Illinois and First Baptist Church of Blytheville, Arkansas. John has earned a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Kentucky and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. John is spiritually gifted in the areas of preaching/teaching, administration, and leadership. John is a die-hard University of Illinois and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoys spending time with his family, working out, reading, and eating out.
Danny is the Student Pastor here at FBC O'Fallon. He has been on staff at FBCO since the Fall of 2002. The youngest of 4 crazy kids, Danny grew up in Orlando, FL in a rock solid Christian home with a loving Christian family. He was saved and baptized at the age of 10 in the church where he was born and raised. After getting married, he joined the Air Force and moved up to Illinois. After his four years in the Air Force, he worked as a network analyst for AT&T. While working for AT&T and serving as a Life Group teacher for the youth (Sunday school teacher for the old school folks out there), Danny knew that God was calling him full-time into the ministry. And that is Danny's life in a nutshell. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Christy, for over 25 years. They have two incredible adult kids, Hannah and Jonah. Danny has a passion for teaching God’s word, sharing the gospel and trying to make people laugh with his odd sense of humor. When he’s not at work you may find him running in the park, playing drums or riding his skateboard at the skatepark. Yeah, he’s a bit odd for an old dude, but we still love him! Danny is a graduate of McKendree University with a major in Religion with a Christian emphasis and a minor in history.
